lack of consistent structure/payoff isn’t what makes us mad, what makes us mad is lack of payoff COMBINED with compelling excellence credibly promising payoff (re: Lost and Petscop both of which I love)

Novelty is compelling, an ambiguous stimulus can be quite small and still generate huge excitement.
