could the tweet have made you FEEL the idea? like Wittgenstein's On Certainty could be summed up as "There's a difference between knowing (a fact) and knowing (basic reality)" but honestly the 150 pages of trees and hands really made me feel it

Oh Wittgenstein is excepted, as are Orwell and Russell. The latter two wrote book-worthy ideas in short essays
. I guess I should read On Certainty.

Academic books are like the book in the Chinese Room, full of enough material to allow you to fake speaking the language of the discipline/argument. But if you already understand Chinese, the book is less useful.
