PSA: covid cases are rising in Europe and UK atm (expected as lockdown eased) but death toll is NOT rising. Getting and even passing on Covid is NOT killing grandmas (however much they might personally want that). This is the perfect time for under 50s to get infected.

So what I’m saying is: stop worrying so much. Release your death grip on that panic attack you’ve been having for six months. Hug a friend. Go for coffee. It’s time to balance your personal wellbeing vs the collective good.

I've been a long term activist. Working collectively for a greater good for a long time. Burnout is a thing. I've seen people burn each other out trying to keep on top of that moral high ground, and they end up more broken, for longer, than a lingering viral load.

I agree that some people are overly anxious in some contexts, but just b’cos it’s emotionally convenient doesn’t mean you might not be almost directly killing someone as a result of your decisions. (Should everyone take personal responsibility for every possible result? Probs no)

> This is the perfect time for under 50s to get infected Hypothetically if someone listened to this, threw caution to the wind and rolls a 1 where they needed 3+, and they happen to end up with long term health problems, still perfect? Perhaps we should remember nuance & detail

That said I mostly agree I just want to make a case for caution because we really don’t understand this thing and I’m seeing really smart people making some funky decisions (myself included in the funky decisions, but I’m horny & dumb so that’s

Being horny is valid and so far.... unmentioned. Hang on it has been mentioned it's... *checks notes* ... illegal. Which is madness.
