Wrong question IMO. Right question: how overwhelmed are medical services, such that someone who is infected *shouldn't have died* if the services were not overwhelmed. They are not overwhelmed. Now is the time to travel.

Another question might be "given the increases in case counts by country and the potential responses of governments based on how this is interpreted, will I get stuck somewhere or have to quarantine myself there or on my return?"
