Ingroup signaling? I don’t love it, but I realize trying to abolish it is tilting at windmills. Granting that it may have some benefits, there’s not going to be a deficit of it if we stop using one insular term that has no real substance.
I’m happy to compromise by switching to “defining terms” only *when normies are looking*.
