Amazed at how many companies building what are essentially scientific wearables who employ one engineer and no scientists. Found three just this morning. I always used to wonder where... 'embedded physiological optimism' came from. Now I think I know.

Of course, it seems you can start a company which sells a device that makes measurements on the basis of a partial, questionable, or even zero capacity. But reality will eventually find out, and bop you one.

I am not, mister condiment-jones. I am not surprised. Large companies produce alt-health crap all the time. Whole treatment modalities are demonstrably false. Why should this be different.

But you said “reality will eventually find out, and bop you one” which implies you don’t know how long companies can do this and get paid for it. There is no bopping for the people in these companies, only a steady salary and if you’re lucky a big buyout cheque too.
