Probably post postmodernism

Arguably postmodernism as we understand it isn't the real deal, but a depraved last ditch effort to save some kind of neutrality from the real thing.

We should keep with the terms as they've been defined historically - ie PoMo is what it is, and you should come up with your own term for new critiques. Are you challenging postmodernism or are you challenging modernism from a different angle than PoMo is?

Also, ironically, your statement is actually a pretty standard PoMo critique. (ie everything is subjective / relative)

@leashless had a good insight a few weeks back that what we call postmodernism is just Modernism trying to be post-Modern. Still a Unifying Grand Narrative that wants to be the only grand narrative and brooks no dissent.

I don't think anyone would call postmodernism unified or grand, or really even a narrative beyond it being a response to modernism. The whole problem with postmodernism is that it never had a vision of its own, so it just critiques everything without building anything.

A necessary step

Surely - the modernists definitely needed to be challenged in their naive / dangerous ways. Now it's time for a vision for the future though, informed by modernists, postmodernists, and beyond.
