Who are other thinkers who have come to extremely tight and wide understanding of large fields? Like Vervaeke for history of the West, Joscha Bach for cognition, or Girard for Christianity?

I like W because as per the Monk biography he was just good at whatever he put his mind to. He was the OG domain-general rat. (Note that this is not being a polymath.)
