Mate it’s not the media and it’s not reflection, it’s that when you turn 12 very big, very scary people become obsessed with your body and they make it known to you every single day. It is a huge power that comes with a huge risk and you start living with it as a child

In one way I agree with you yes, but in another way the pavlovian connection of fear=sex and sex=fear kinda just makes it erotic by association. Someone else made this point in another fork on this thread.
