idle thought: the more women complain about men not going to therapy, the more therapy gets coded feminine the more interesting move would be to tell men to meditate and do psychedelics (not a claim about whether this is more or less effective than therapy)

Ah yes, but part of QC's point is that more women than men have tried therapy or meditating. So by comparison with themselves, women are less likely to try psychedelics than other forms of therapy.

There’s a ton of variation between people in how easy it is to set up the right set and setting. You really need to have a friend group that can support you through the process, so there’s a chicken and egg problem.

as much as i want to normalize talking frankly about psychedelics i can’t endorse them too full-throatedly without caveats - real risks of getting seriously destabilized that people need to be aware of and work with responsibly
