Relevant sentence: An employer can include bank holidays as part of statutory annual leave. There are 8 bank holidays per year, so this is 20 days holiday + bank holiday. 25 days holiday would exclude bank holidays, so actually means 25+8 =33.
The bank holidays must be paid days if included, in the case of 33 days off the 8 bank holidays are unpaid

No, that's not right. I've worked in finance for small tech firms for years! When companies advertise 25 days leave, they mean 25 days + 8 days paid bank holidays.
