Hey older women with no kids - what did you in your 30s and 40s? Any recommendations or regrets? I’m in a wide open landscape and don’t know what to do.

<<48F, childfree by choice. At 35 I realized my retirement was basically set, & I could quit talking on work that ate up all my free time. But it took me 3yrs to actually do anything about it! So many norms are geared towards the parent track. Don't be afraid to buck trends!

I left my "prestigious" corporate job & started my own one-woman consulting company. Love working by myself SO much. Thought it was a risk as I was the main breadwinner. Actually, with all that has happened since then staying in the "safe" job would've been just as risky.

Hard to summarize in a tweet, obvs., but in general stopped overthinking about what the "correct" life move was and just tried a bunch of things based on what I liked rather than a big master plan. Perpetual experimentation turned out to be my 'happy place".
