The I need you thing makes me feel they have a lack of sovereignty which I kinda just don’t have time for. Im up for maybe one padawan in this regard but it’s not gonna be super sexy. Maybe poly can help with this too

Yeah 'I need you' is a largely a turn off. I don't want to be needed in the "you complete me" or "I can't function properly without you" sense. I want "hey we're both sovereign people who can function perfectly well alone but also seem to get along well let's go adventuring!"
