Yeah it’s weird to think I should have been *even more suspicious* of adults than I already was as a kid

Thirded, with bonus horror story: I learned years later that the dentist my parents had taken me to a couple of times as a kid was involved in dubiously legal and extremely harmful "drill and fill" abuse of his patients. A lot of expense and damaged teeth resulted.
