As a person who semi-regularly kicks out bad actors from social circles, can confirm it is: -extremely draining -not supported or praised by the social group -high risk (personal attacks from the ousted person and their friends are common) -unclear if it was right

Literally the only positive thing is that the group you care for remains, instead of (maybe) imploding or hurting people. But you'll never really know. Thankless invisible gardening in the dark.

yes! this is the worst part. you have to make different decisions and if you're e.g. hanging out with autistic nerds oblivious to these bad social dynamics they will literally not understand why are you just kicking people out being a mod is a terrible job
