Your deep aesthetic is present in what you feel the need to over-explain in conversation.

Especially if I don't even realise I'm doing it

So dish . . . what do you find yourself over-explaining?

My childhood context, I might as well just scream UNDERSTAND ME

Mmm. Here's a sensation I get that I'm curious if you find in yourself as well. Let's say that you (we) have some childhood circumstances that you know are relatively unusual, and that they have shaped you into someone who is not "normal" (no pejorative) in significant ways.

I find myself vacillating between feeling that 1. making it through those exp and eventually clearing my eyes gives me a perspective others lack (good) 2. I'm wounded by those experiences in ways most will never understand; I am separate in ways I can't even articulate (bad)

Absolutely. I also vacillate between: 1. Telling the story of my past reminds me how far I’ve come and gives context so people can support my continued growth and 2. Constantly retelling this story is a stale act that is undermining who I am now and preventing growth
