I can empathise, people tend to do it with bisexual too, saying that everyone is bisexual, but if that were true we’d be living in a very different world! I agree it’s a way to dismiss the topic. I normally reply with “oh so YOU’RE bisexual, amazing!” They back-pedal fast lol
