3/ I made a conscious decision in 2017 to get back on Twitter, inspired by a sense I had that if I tweaked my online behavior slightly, I could build all sorts of relationships with amazing people!
And that has worked

Love this thread, feel very similar, except, I don’t think Twitter needs replacing. It’s on Twitter that it’s all happening, and any replacement would need I think everything that Twitter has. I love when people use tools in unexpected ways, this is one.
Yeah I've gone back and forth on this.
Ultimately I do feel like the fundamental misalignment of incentives due to the ad-based business model etc will point twitter towards garbage like this
