There are just 2 ways (mostly) to say tea around the world. It either sounds like ’te’ — which means tea was introduced to that country via the sea routes — or sound like ‘cha’ — which means that tea was spread to that region across land.https://link.medium.com/TEoaGZSSk0
Wow did not know this. Predictably, Brits call it “tea” but a ubiquitous colloquialism for tea is “cha”

Yeah in India, Vietnam, China and Eastern regions it is mostly called similar to 'cha'.
