I’d buy into this too. Was supposed to wear glasses when I was a child and didn’t. Eyes ended up improving past what the prescription would have corrected to.

I read a study, can't look for a link right now, that claimed to show that the myopic condition is more a result of the intensity of the outdoor light, rather than focal distances. Just one study, but buy you may find it interesting if you're able to track it down.

That’s actually not a weird theory, but quite accurate. The eyes DO need exercise. They have muscles that we need to keep strong. Also rest. Not just closing but using an eye mask to block Light, which seeps in even when eyes are closed.
