I personally thought that part of the book overstated the case slightly, and maybe there is some nuance lost in translation, maybe a language thing, maybe even a cultural thing. I think it’s less what you say and more how you say it

I think there is a way to give feedback that is sincere, honest and supportive *without* reinforcing hierarchy. “This is how I see it” rather than “you have pleased me and won my approval”
