Many are listed in that article - placebo effect is a big one. Apparently during Derren Browns “debunking” of faith healing some of the people were healed permanently. Similar for if a medium invents a ghost for a person to get closure from grief.

I think they should always try to explain the placebo effect. Example: I know it exists, but I also know that it does work and science hasn't yet explained everything 100%, nor could it soon. No conflict there; I still have faith.
