Moral Foundations Theory is an example of an interesting category: Stuff that I like and find useful but also consider to be a bit of a red flag when someone else brings it up, especially as the basis for an argument. What are some examples of this pattern for you?

Well it's not an intriniscally bad theory. There's a lot to like about it. It's just a) I'm quite skeptical of its empirical basis and b) have noticed that it's rarely a good sign when someone uses it as the basis of an argument.
