Every time I do even the most basic of web dev I am reminded of the sheer level of bullshit people who do this for a living have to put up with.

In contrast when I worked in video transcoding they were mostly willing to accept that it was black magic and didn't really feel the need to stick their oar in so much.
Yep need to up the black magic ratio! It's all I can do not to crash the website then be like "be nicer to me goddamit"
