    In my experience, the stories in this article are very common. There is great solidarity among people; it is the strength of our resistance. govt & police can continue to pound us as hard as they want, but they will never defeat us with force.

    The officer seems to believe that were driven by too little force and that if, say, the police would have killed a few frontliners early, they would have stopped. These theories fly in the face of all data we have from HK, and what is known about repression backfire.

    Another indication of the politically incompetent thinking within the HKPF. “If the force had used in June every weapon and strategy available to it for extreme deterrence, the unrest would not have continued and developed to the current state.”

    Watching confederates lose their racist participation trophies never gets old. The monument is gone, but the struggle continues. Angry white supremacists will likely flock to Pittsboro this Saturday. Tell them to follow their statue's example & get lost.

    Pretty pathetic end to a statue celebrating racism, here in the dark and rain on an otherwise unremarkable evening. A round of clapping and cheering accompanied the removal, but there were hardly any neo-Confederates to hear as they all melted earlier, defeated by the light rain.

    Denied bail. For collecting some of the spent non-lethal ammo police have left lying around HK’s streets for months on end. If it is so dangerous that a person needs to be jailed for possessing it, why do the police never, ever clean it up afterwards?

    A 26yo reporter in Hong Kong is charged with unlawful possession of ammunition for collected used tear gas canisters, tear gas grenades, sponge grenade and rubber bullet. He was denied bail and has to be in custody till next hearing on January 14.

    A horrifying post on Facebook collected photos of skin rashes, eczema flare-ups and what’s suspected to be chloracne on citizens both young and old. In most cases, the person has been exposed to teargas, or just walked by an area where the chemical weapon has been used.

    All day today the news cycle has been filled with reports of all the different guns the Hong Kong police have deployed, M16, AR15, MP5... and that the police are loade with live ammo. Yet these kids still just walk towards the police lines with nothing but umbrellas.
