Because the gaslighting is getting real strong now, and it's all too easy to start questioning reality, here is every forecast cone ever drawn by the NHC for #Hurricane #Dorian. Plus an arbitrarily-chosen state labeled.pic.twitter.com/fDsCbKeyfu

nice visualization! could benefit from some discretization of the colorbar so we can more clearly see where a certain tweet occurred

This is a good suggestion, so here is the same map but now highlighting the most recent forecast cone prior to the President's tweet, but more importantly prior to the very accurate and appropriate Birmingham NWS tweet.pic.twitter.com/CFs2OQ06sr

yes and it was from 4 days before Trump's tweet. That's the point. It's like telling someone to wear a sweater in July because you didn't realize you were looking at a forecast from January.

Not really sure what you want. The Administration continues to gaslight this heavily. If the Administration would stop lying and misleading, the conversation would fade. But they haven't stopped.

Excellent observation. The "just ignore them" approach to bullies is seldom effective. Same for Bret Stephens. He DREW a private citizen/professor into public life, targeting him for satirical tweet, "reporting" man to his employer (Provost). Why should target "stay quiet"?

Trump has no humility. He is incapable of simply saying “I misspoke” or “I was wrong.” It’s one of his (many) character flaws. It’s beyond embarrassing & sad. He’s the face of our nation and he’s worse than any president in my lifetime. Even worse than Nixon.
