Amadán Meiriceánach ᚛ᚄᚓᚑᚄᚐᚋᚆ᚜ added,
But we have this sort of soft rule that we try to leave some truly seasonal things for no earlier than September 1st. 2/?
The point is that no matter how much you love something it can get old if you gorge on it nonstop and we don't want to lose this. 3/?
I don't object to Halloween stuff being available year round, but I don't want the season to lose its thunder via retail ubiquity 4/?
That being said, some of these products (like candy) don't age well on the shelf and may either be sold nasty in the fall or not at all. 5/?
Also If retailers loser money on this move I'm not sure what the backlash might be for next year. Businesses often overreact in odd ways 6/?
I find this feeling hard to wrestle with. I like having an aisle for things i love in the stores i shop at, but this feels wrong. 7/?
It feels like someone captured Halloween, put it in a cage and is forcing it to do tricks for an audience far from its home. 8/?
(At least when it comes to Halloween lovers' opinions on this topic...)
