It's not about the skin colour altering your idea. It's about your experiences as that skin colour giving you a different perception.
-
I agree that your circumstances can alter your perspective on things, different experiences craft different ideas. The only way I see that argument work is as an argument from personal experience, which is not very useful?
-
It's not just about arguments. It's about everything you write on the internet. It's all shaped by that fact that you're a (race), (gender), (sexual orientation). It does matter, even if it's not an every day issue that comes up. The idea of colourblind is a very white notion
-
that tells the rest of us to basically erase our experiences and identities because white folk are uncomfortable with the fact ideas/cultures/values are different and shaped differently and celebrated differently.
-
It's hard for me to tell if you think i'm white and it's a statement about me or just a general statement. either way, i think ideas/cultures/values should aim to progress towards something objectively better, no matter where that improvement comes from.
-
It's general about colourblindness. It's a white notion that strips people of culture, experience, and identity no matter who is perpetuating it. Before 1930, Mulattos were an actual legal race. Half black/half white. Our kids were quadroons, our grandkids octaroons.

Mulattos who passed, like myself, pretty much left and started over somewhere new as a white person. There is black turning up in so many families they never knew about because people passed quietly for years. The entire culture, food, music that could have been? Who knows.

a cup takes the form of the mold it was made in, but it will only be valuable if it holds any water. the mold that makes it doesn't matter if the finish product doesn't work.
-
all ideas are formed by people, and people are formed by their circumstances. Some circumstances allow for better ideas than others, but at the end the only thing that matters if that idea is usefull to society, even if the mold you used to craft it wasn't all that good.
-
An example of why identity matters is the difference in how race impacts patriarchy -- white women are expected to be fragile and deferential, while black women are expected to be strong and capable. Those ideas have different meanings depending on who talks about them.
-
Neither of these expectations are good -- they're oppressive either way -- but to an extent these two groups want the choice between both. So someone talking about how X is good when others disagree isn't necessarily problematic, because of the context of the speaker.
