I'm fascinated by this as well. My experience...the best founders will things into existence with amazing focus and micromanagement. Then that same founder has to let others do important things for growth. Wasn't easy for me at all.

My executive team announced they were "on strike". "Why?" "You are a bottleneck keeping us back. We will be playing golf and fishing when you agree to let us do our jobs." They never left the building. Best day ever, for all of us. Successful exit 28 months later.
