Molly's Game was an extremely well-rounded film. Great acting, writing, directing and casting.

Yeah, I usually find Sorkin's writerly dialogue too precious. In this case, b/c Molly was a writer whose book figures into the plot, and the movie's flashbacks to the book's narrative are clearly not entirely trustworthy, I thought it blended well.

The Costner scene was too disjoint & "meta" though (father figure psychoanalyzing daughter's view of himself), and seemed like Sorkin intruding too far.
