Is there any #serverless work going on in Antarctica? Who would know? How would anybody find out?

I don't know of anything specific. Antarctica (SP in particular) suffers from not enough internet. I wouldn't be surprised if there is serverless usage off continent. But most projects have on-prem setups to collect data and move offline when bandwidth is available.

There are several "winter over" positions that are essentially data center and sys admin jobs https://wipac.wisc.edu/careers/winterover-experiments-operator …

Like this building (http://inspirehep.net/record/1475004/files/ICL_Lindstrom_cropped.png …) is mostly a data center

Was looking at this map earlier and realising that we're short of one continent... ok two, but having Serverless Days on Antarctica might be pushing it...https://twitter.com/alex_casalboni/status/985929981627912194 …

Seems like you could solve this problem internally by opening up a new region :)

Pitch it as a personal Fortress of Solitude for Bezos! Also can imagine the cost savings on air conditioning is significant.pic.twitter.com/dVVD6oeOaY

Feels like "Bezos === Ozymandias" is a much better fit for our current timeline
