Things on the mainline route are going to the next station. Doesn't connote power relations. Just code that has a ticket to move on. New train picks up code every N sec || min.

I think that lines up with how Etsy does CI/CD. "Deploy trains" that you can join. Can't find a link to the preso at the moment.

It was *kinda* like that. Mostly trying to join various bits of code into a mono-repo and then state who was next to do the same. Helped schedule the order and prevent chaos of the order in a “anyone can deploy to prod whenever” world

I think you can get a lot of mileage out of it, but it requires you go all in on feature flags. PS: Feature flags as a service #awswishlist
