I am often tempted to engage container folk thought leading about #serverless. But slowly realizing I am not their target audience. It is other container people. They are trying to ensure their tribe they will still exist in the new world.

You're just picking fights, I disagree. I *love* the serverless model but you need shared state sometimes. Even if we had 10 competing api gateways we'd still have the same issues.

The tweet you replied to is me *explicitly* saying I decided not to pick a fight
Also serverless !== stateless. It looks that way right now because all the serverless solutions for state kinda suck. It will get better.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@faunadb seems awesome. May need to get bought to take off. - S3 will continue to get better at being a database - in-memory state at the edge.@fastly kinda has this now with dictionaries and surrogate keys. Whatever the next generation of that is.2 replies 0 retweets 3 likes -

I think we'll just have to disagree about "better". I want to love Dynamo but still find it to be such a PITA. To be fair I haven't used it much since it got import/export. Also, sad DAX isn't serverless :(

I don't think we have to. Dynamo is available. Aurora isn't. That is WAY better!
