Good conferences cover speaker travel... at a minimum. That is how it should be. Conferences are money making enterprises.

I look for this before submitting a proposal. If they can't cover travel, then I won't be able to make it. Being a speaker costs a lot more time and money than people realize. Having to also cover travel makes that cost-prohibitive for a lot of folks.

This wasn't a critique of your submission as much as a note to conference organizers that by limiting your ability to pay for speakers to get to, and stay in your city, you are reducing the thought diversity of your conference.

Oh I didn't take it that way! 100% agreed too. Just adding a little more context. I also usually look for stated travel coverage in the CFP
