Got a new 12in Macbook. Same as my old one. It remains been the best development machine I have ever owned. Touchbars are dumb. Fight me.

Having used a 13" MacBook Pro without the pointless touch bar for a while now and I agree. The 12" MacBook is the superior machine
-
The old one struggled with big screens. I have an i7 / 16GB new 12" macbook now, perfect while on the road and drives a 34" ultrawide in the office just fine - Great machine

Your old one struggled? Those are 27” 4K screens.pic.twitter.com/HOHpNt4NvH

How do you split your usbc to drive two 27s. I have an extra 27in monitor but haven't tried that setup.
-
My model has 2 Thunderbolt ports. I run one into a hub (below middle monitor) which has 2 Thunderbolt ports (1 in / 1 out). All my other USB rables run off that one too. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B075M1XHCK/ …

ahh I see. My bad I thought that was the 12" not the 13.
-
Yes! This conversation I think reminded me, I initially thought about the 12 but opted for the 13 in part because of Thunerbolt ports.

That two week wait time to build a maxed-out i7 Macbook from the Apple online store doesn't help me to replace broken laptop today, though. Oh well.

I had the same issue! B&H has free overnight (for me in Philly) shipping for the maxed version https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1342984-REG/apple_z0u2_mnyl23_bh_macbook_i7_1_4ghz_16gb.html …

Cheers!
