If you have the choice between SSR for React, or compiling that same app to static, definitely go static. This isn't possible for all cases of course, but in either you can still throw a CDN in front

I think it'd help a bit, but you'd still have to fetch data from somewhere (usually), and if not then there's no reason to use Lambda@Edge over a CDN (same result).
