"can send notifications of changes to Lambda" Is this new? Do they mean trigger lambda or update lambda env vars?
even if the first you could use lambda to deploy new lambdas...
Just trigger Lambda. Could be an instruction loop to update Lambda functions to look for new/different params
I noticed the parameter store seems pretty slow. Even for maybe ~10 params it can take ~900-1500ms to fetch :( not a huge deal if you have reasonable container re-use, but cold start sucks
Cold starts less than .25 of all Lambda invocations, so largely shouldn’t be a problem for most. True that it does add that initially bit of work to do
Yeah for most real applications I doubt it's a problem. I'd like to use Lambda for some more bursty stuff (building some serverless databases) but params definitely get in the way there
