@southpolesteve oh no!
And once again my only conclusion is that grunt.js is terrible. Let's see what gulp has to offer....

@dubharmonic the grunt file seems to get unmaintainable really quick. Lots of spaghetti config. and not all that fast :/ -
@southpolesteve I’ve spent a ton of time with Gruntfiles, maybe we could chat about it at the next meetup! -
@dubharmonic sounds good! You still need a react.js presenter? What date? -
@southpolesteve does Monday, March 10th work for you? -
@dubharmonic eh I might be in MKE that date. Other options or is that date set? I'll see if I can do some schedule wrangling on my end -
@southpolesteve the date is set, as we already have a room reserved and another presenter. Will the 10th work for you? -
@dubharmonic sorry doesn't look like that will work :/

@southpolesteve say more. what tasks is it failing at? something slightly complex or run of the mill? -
@idealexit not failing. Config gets complex quickly and hard to maintain :/ -
@southpolesteve gotcha. Never tried gulp myself. But might be worth a spin...

@southpolesteve gruntjs is to build systems as notepad is to IDEs -
@dpemmons what are you guys using as a build system?@southpolesteve -
@dubharmonic@dpemmons@southpolesteve Gulp is pretty great, but I don't think the current plugin ecosystem is close to Grunt yet. -
@jthoms1@dubharmonic@southpolesteve always fun watching web dev ecosystem rediscover/reinvent stuff us desktop folks have done for years -
@dpemmons can you use GYP to handle your web front-end tasks?@jthoms1@southpolesteve -
@dubharmonic haven't yet but I can't see any reason why not. If we do I'll blog it.@jthoms1@southpolesteve
