Anyone got any idea how hard it would be to get a new web dev class approved in the UW comp sci dept? Cc @maxlynch
@bradorego @maxlynch they are not mutually exclusive. point of a class is to expose students to local startups and the toolsets used

@southpolesteve@bradorego@maxlynch Based on the interviews I’ve conducted, practical/realistic projects are definitely needed. -
@lsirivong@southpolesteve@bradorego yea, this is why I want to help with the NEST contest. The idea was came from students now@perblue -
@maxlynch Just looked into it, and the NEST contest sounds like a good idea. Maybe they could add a pool of MSN tech people to mentor/coach? -
@lsirivong@maxlynch good idea. I'm talking with the organizer this week, I'll share that.

@southpolesteve@bradorego hard to tell. I didn't know Madison had a tech community until I was a senior. UW was my world. -
@maxlynch@southpolesteve I was the same way in school, but I think hooking up with a student group (ugrad council?) could help

@southpolesteve@maxlynch Might be easier to do through a student group or something versus the overhead of a classThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
