    Some of the best hires I’ve ever made were fresh out of school – but they were hungry and they wanted to learn. Often, their portfolios and work were more relevant than 10yr+ designers. And as a bonus, they were humble!

    Some of the best designers I’ve worked w/ had 0-2 yrs of experience. They’re curious. They question old patterns. They break rules. They’re open to trying new ideas. They’re hungry to learn. They quickly get better over time. They’re flexible. Don’t just hire Sr Designers.

    I appreciate how collaborative UI design took 2x longer in the Sketch + Dropbox era, and 4x longer in the Photoshop era. I can't wait to see what's in store for us 5 years from now.

    For almost 20 years, I’ve loved, been inspired by, and obsessed over Apple products. 10 years ago I started my design career in small town Alabama dreaming of one day designing with Apple in California. Today is that day! I’ve never felt more humbled or excited!
