Fascinating. I came across 2:4 examples (both pictorial and physical) when casually researching them for Emojipedia purposes, but I can't speak to their exact historicity.
Which civilizations were known to have used the 2:4? And when? Also, which number-based system would it have originated from out of practicality (vs. artistic display)?
