p.s. Facebook have rules against under 16s using WhatsApp across the EU because of the 2018 GDPR changes - but TikTok is certainly first to do this worldwide

they've been developing a number of initiatives that bring stricter parental control onto the app too - TikTok already has Family Safety Mode where parents can control how long their teen can spend on the app each day + also restricts certain content
