Question 1: Are you present on Instagram? In what way do physicians fit on Instagram? What are benefits to having a presence there? #SoMeDocs

I launched a profile last year to educate people about obesity, weigh loss, the real bari journey.

A1: I am present on IG and it has shifted overtime. It seems to me that there are some physicians who are there to education patients and there are others who are helping other physicians. Both are equally valuable. #somedocs

A1: I am present on #instagram in a personal capacity. I think physicians can play an educational/teaching role on instagram. For example, I have several colleagues who use it professionally to share interesting #radiology cases.

I agree Teresa. I often show pre-and post op bariatric patient images, with their permission of course.

A1: I’m on IG & use it as a visual creative outlet. I ❤️ sharing photos from life & think that each can tell its own story, even without words attached. Here’s an example. A friend’s eye. But also so much more, when u look deep within. A true window to the soul. #SoMeDocspic.twitter.com/3XS1XKGciJ

You take such beautiful, intriguing photos. I see how IG would be a great platform for your work #SoMeDocs

A1: I am on Insta! I mostly use it for personal/family posts that I link to FB. That said, I am a Chief Resident and we have a joint account where we post updates/pictures from day-to-day of residency. It is great for connecting with residents, fewer of whom are on twitter.

A1: Yes, I am. I’ve seen a lot of decent use cases for building brand as an influencer but doesn’t seem like a great acquisition channel for turning over leads if you want to increase pt panel. Plus there’s a lot of downside with the leaky funnel. Hard to track metrics. #SoMeDocs
