Michelle Yeoh was the best part of the otherwise mediocre Tomorrow Never Dies. Single-handedly saved the movie.
-
I heard how a story about how they were showing her around the production. "... and here's your stunt double", & she was like, "um, what? Hong Kong action star here, I think I can handle a few stunts". "Oh no, the insurance people will never agree to that!"

And it all looks 1000% better than the choreography in 50 mil+ action movies with 729282 cuts in one fight scene.

In fairness, the choreography in Marvel films isn't bad, it's the editing that ruins it. Like the fight between Cap and Bucky in Winter Soldier, the unedited version is pretty dope, but then they edit the fuck out of it. Total shame. And I still like Marvel films, rip me.

I absolutely remember the first time I saw "Hard Boiled" (in a double feature with "The Killer" at the Brattle in Cambridge). I came out of that theater a different person than when I went in.
