Goggles show real search innovation (Big Tech in monopoly phase, tying their businesses together, is the opposite of innovation).
A Goggle is a URL-addressed file of adblock filter syntax for re-ranking the index to suit your or your community's needs. github.com/brave/goggles-

Unlike Google + Bing, Brave Search doesn’t manipulate its algorithm to bias or down-rank results. However, all search engines have some level of intrinsic bias. Goggles gives you the power to search without these limits.

I feel like Goggles is the biggest innovation in search in the last decade. Lean left or right? Want certain kinds of results? Pick your biases, don't allow others to pick it for you. Share and collaborate on Goggles too!

7/7 We think best practice for a privacy brand is to put user privacy above all, including partner demands for user-identifying tracking exceptions as revenue quid pro quo. This is what does: Brave categorically does not and will not harm user privacy to satisfy partners.

For the record, has passed up or failed to close such deals because we would not whitelist the tracking scripts across the Web that the search partner said they require to be unblocked. We chose not to violate our own principles and our users' trust, at high cost to us. /2

We'd rather reform search ads in the manner we've taken on Brave Ads: user-first, privacy-preserving via client+p2p anonymity tech, and no third party — including our servers — tracking you across the Web. Even if it takes more time and capital to prove that this is possible. /3

Some folks seemed to equate legally mandatory search results removal with censorship AKA "editorial downranking" (ED) in the Search super-thread yesterday.
Here I enumerate four categories of law with which we comply. Again, we do not censor or ED.

Here's the answer (no details, in case anyone watching is trying, e.g., to circumvent CSAM ban):
We comply with laws governing search engines. Four categories:
* CSAM
* Copyright takedown (DMCA)
* Right to be forgotten (GDPR)
* nation-state orders (see twitter.com/BrendanEich/st).
