Actually, the Poway shooting underscores the unlikelihood of average civilians stopping shooters - a highly trained and armed Border Patrol Agent missed the shooter and instead hit his vehicle. This was AFTER the gunman fatally shot one victim, and injured several others.

They all hang out on the same exact forum. It’s not complicated. And I’m tired of writing the same story over and over again.

. rt’d this because she wants us to believe “only a good guy with a gun stops a bad guy with a gun.” A trained border patrol agent - not an average civilian - missed the shooter and shot his car. The issue in Poway is not who shot back, but how a 19-year-old got an AR-15.

The issue isn’t that Trump didn’t praise the no 1 pick. The issue is that Trump praised the no 2 pick, who seems to be drawn to social media pages of white nationalists, and people who use racial and homophobic slurs.

Let’s not be naive. The same way the president struggles to denounce white supremacists/nationalists is the same reason he’d praise a no 2 pick w/ similar interests. He is constantly sending bat signals to white supremacists because he relishes their support.

As more news comes out of Poway I cannot help but think about the fact that we have a President who saw fit on the day before the end of Passover to try to recast the deadly 2017 anti-Semitic white supremacist march as a gathering to honor a Robert E Lee. A national disgrace.

Seeing people argue that the president's "very fine people" remark was mischaracterized, and that he was really referring to a third group of non-racist pro-Lee protesters at the rally. As writes, this is incorrect for a number of reasons.
