can confirm that comments boost better than likes / rts as of late
that said: i'm givin u all permission to keysmash cryptic emojis on my posts because writing comments is Hard and sometimes even i dont know how to compliment my artist friends beyond "ART GOOD PLEASE MORE"
Actually gonna update this:
After speaking with other artists and seeing it at work, myself, it appears COMMENTING is how most art is coming to ppl's attention these days.
Rather drives home the 'we want people to argue and stay on the site' shift in priorities. twitter.com/DogBlud/status…
LRT I always ALWAYS make it a habit to send every step of my process to whoever commissioned me not only for feedback and fixes, but also so they can be assured I'm not hiding anything from them
with all of these people lying thru their teeth and selling AI art
its a good time to remind commissioners that you should request wips + sketches before receiving the final product
its a completely normal thing to do and will help you get what you paid for 🙏
Sometimes you just gotta draw things for you and you alone, without any thought of sharing it online for recognition / relevancy / etc, because not sharing every dumb lil doodle you make of your fav character online is healthier for you in the long run
It’s really weird to be making art right now. It just seems like our skills and dreams are constantly being undermined and undervalued, yet we keep going because we love making stuff. Never forget that initial spark of love that made you pick up a pencil in the first place.
