No, it’s not. There is a literal definition for it that has existed for a while but nice flex.

So because you don’t want to be told what you say is hate speech, or racist, etc the definitions no longer exist because you say so? Weird flex, but okay.

*Seymour Skinner voice* Am I saying racist things? No, it’s the people saying it’s racist that must be wrong.

A joke is a social contract, based on everyone involved agreeing it’s a joke. If you walk up to a coworker and shout “Your breath fucking stinks” and then add “just kidding” that doesn’t make you a harmless japester and that coworker a goofy sap.

It's not about if Crowder's audience was in on the "jokes." Was the actual target, the butt/victim, of Crowder's joke in on his joke? You're here partially bc they (the target) were not in on the joke. Bigoted jokes are rarely funny & only funny when the target is in on them.

If any comedian, entertainer, what have you, is making a joke about a marginalized person or group and the majority of those people aren't laughing along then it's not a joke. It's a call to action. Which you, and everyone else in here aligned with you, are still acting on.
