As the first in my Latinx family to enter a research lab, it wasn't easy to acclimate to the lab environment. I learned (after many faux pas) each lab member has a role — PIs apply for grants, grad students lead projects, coordinators guide data collection, RAs collect data!

Useful thread (scroll up and down) about how just-in-time employer schedule affects worker wellbeing, with effects extending to the family system. Important to understand how workplace conditions shape parents’ stress and ability to care for their children.
