i'm not sure we give enough weight to the powerful link between far right extremist views and violence against women. it just keeps showing itself.

in this particular instance, i was looking up the "jews have been expelled from 109 countries" story and found a 1995 manifesto by john knight, a man who has been jailed for refusing to pay child support & wants to repeal the 19th amendment and exile black people from the US.pic.twitter.com/dKFfIu1Znh

it's a pattern i see over and over and over again. look at john marion king, a superfan of chris the crying nazi cantwell - he ran for school board in indiana as an open white supremacist in 2012. in 2007, he was convicted of choking his 17 year old daughter unconscious.pic.twitter.com/JLLqgwkoSL

I had some contact with some very active "fathers rights" folks as a journo in the 90s, and I would be very unsurprised if I were to find out they later went all white power. Definitely the same kind of energy

I worked for a nonprofit focusing on violence against women in the mid-90s and I remember them overrunning listservs to harrass and threaten people. They shut down the best ones that way.

It's sad that the father's rights movement gets involved or associated with the far right / violence against women so much. There is a sincere need for reform in so far as child support, father's rights and the way some states are mishandling cases.

There are a ton of assumptions in the way courts courts and society handle things that rely on the same antiquated notions that are hurting women. There's a fork in this path that leads to a lot of positive outcomes but there aren't enough shepherds getting people on it

I would love to see what you found, it sounds very interesting. It does seem to be a step in radicalization.
